ABOUT JAMBOREE
Arepo Community Jamboree is an exciting event that will brings people together to celebrate their shared culture, heritage, and spirit. It is a festive occasion that offers something for everyone – from thrilling rides, 7 asides football match, musical concerts, beauty pageant competition and games to delicious food and lively entertainment. But more importantly, it strengthens community bonds and creates a sense of unity and togetherness. The planning and organization of a community jamboree involve the collective effort of volunteers, local organizations, and businesses. The event typically takes place in a central location in Arepo, creating a vibrant atmosphere that attracts people from all walks of life.

PARADE REGISTRATION

Register your Community, Estate, Association, Company and Social clubs

  • The Arepo Community Jamboree Parade will be the biggest community street parade party. It is a vibrant and lively event that will bring together people of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures. It is a time for children celebration, unity, and fun, where the entire communities comes together to enjoy a festive and exciting atmosphere in music, dance and colorful vibrant costumes performances to showcase their creativities to spectators. Invitee communities are Kara, Isheri Olofin, Opic, Warewa, City view, Forthright, T.A Gardens, Magboro, Ibafo, Oremeji, Asese, Lotto, Pakuro, Kara Nla, Mowe, Ofada, Lufuape and Obafemi-owode in general.
  • Special Guest: Prince Dapo Abiodun (The Executive Governor of Ogun State), The Honorable Commissioner Ministry of Culture and Tourism Ogun State, Local Government Chairmen, Kings and other dignitaries

  • Venue: Market square to Arepo Primary School
  • Group Size: Minimum of 25 persons and maximum of 30 per group is required to participate.
  • Parade Opening: The winners and contestants of Miss Jamboree competition, other sport winners and team leads the opening street parade movement
  • Parade T-Shirt: Parade customized t-shirt is required or company t-shirt to participate in the street parade
  • King & Queen: The king or queen is required in any participating group, the king or queen leads the team/group in a colorful costumes, while the rest of the team wears customized parade t-shirt
  • Flags/Banners: 2 flags or banner is required by any group during the street parade, flags and king/queen costumes will be provided by the organizers at a fee.
  • Music: The participating group needs music during the parade such as; DJ, band boys and traditional drummers

  • Miss Jamboree beauty pageant competition is an event that will bring young female adults together to celebrate diversity and showcases the charm and talents of individuals. It is an opportunity for young female adults to display their physical beauty and also to demonstrate their intelligence, confidence and passion. The competition involves various rounds, each of which allows contestants to exhibit their unique skills and qualities. In addition to the traditional runway walk showcasing their beauty and poise, contestants are also required to showcase their talents, ranging from singing, dancing and most importantly public speaking.

These event will celebrate the spirit of the game while fostering community cohesion and creating a positive impact on individuals' physical and mental well-being. Whether you are a seasoned player or a beginner, everyone is welcome to participate. This promotes a sense of belonging and encourages individuals to come together as a community, regardless of their gender, age, or skill level.
  • Prizes: The winning team will be awarded a gold platted cup alongside with medals, first runner up with a silver medal while the second runner up will also get bronze medal. All other benefits from the sponsors will also be awarded and the 3 winning teams will be presented on stage (Grand Finale Dec 26th, 2024)
